Castronovo’s Hot Sipping Chocolate

for the Holidays

Ingredients:
5 TBS Castronovo Sipping Chocolate
1 cup of dairy milk or dairy alternative
2 tsp of sugar

Our hot chocolate is made purely with ground 70% bean-to-bar chocolate for a rich, decadent treat. Heat 1 cup of milk (or dairy substitute) over medium-low heat until just about steaming (about 150 degrees). Be careful not to scald the milk or it will taste burnt. Add 5 TBS of sipping chocolate. Whisk over low heat until chocolate is melted and frothy.

Options:
Add more flavor with 1 of the following:
1 shot of espresso for a mocha
½ tsp peppermint extract
½ tsp vanilla
½ tsp ancho chili and a dash of cayenne

Spike it with 1 of the following:
1 shot of Bailey’s Irish Cream
1 shot of Grand Marnier
1 shot of Kahlua coffee liqueur
1 shot of bourbon
